Tim Burton, who of course brought you great animated films of Nightmare Before Christmas and The Corpse Bride, has brought us another animated film….and it looks good!
In fact I felt the shiver of excitement hit when I 1st watched the trailer.
9 is the film and it will be released on the 09/09/2009.

I have been MMO clean since August last year. I have been WoW clean for even longer.
It has been great. I save money, I speak with friends IRL, I spend more time with my wife (ok so most of its good) and then this happens.

Now I was a big fan of Overlord, it brought me back to the simple days of Dungeon Keeper. So when I saw this
I was stoked.

Overlord 2! A new sense of evil. And take note there are 2 other versions; Overlord Dark Legion on Wii and Overlord Minions on DS so you can be evil everywhere and at anytime.
After 3 months of no internet access, no internet provider, not even a working phone line, I have returned!

Now that I’m back, I am taking a fresh look at the site, have some ideas of some changes but ultimately I intend to bring it back to life.
Three months of not being able to rant, ramble or review a thing has driven me nuts. And could have I picked a worse time to go offline?!
AFL begins again and North Melbourne are bombing out, NRL is chock full of drama, Dream Team injuries and early trades are common place, government bungles are still here AND the Indian government are accusing Australia of being a racist country and want Australia listed on their dangerous tourist destinations.
The reason for why the longtime offlinenessness (it is a real word)? Way back in 2007, around the time here in Australia, the majority voted for change and in that time my wife and I, put a deposit down on a house. This house was bought of the plans so it had to be built. It was a stage 2 development and we had to wait until stage 1 even begun let alone finish. There were months where we lived with my folks waiting for the house to be built and boy, wasn’t that a hoot. Then 2009 came along and the house was in our grasp, only to have it vandalised and delayed. Then one fateful day, late February, the dream became real and we finally moved into our new home! Much joy was had and Numfar did the dance of joy.
But of course we didnt factor in the fact that Telstra are idiots who have neglected to lay down the phone lines in the neighbourhood. So 3 months later, phone line is finally put down, phone was hooked up to house and net was once more enjoyed. So here we are today.
Happy times are here and rants will appear. So stay tuned as I revamp this little place I like to call Fishmalt. I am sure there will much joy, rants and a different look but overall, a place where I can ramble away.
Dawn of War II street date has been broken!
This is good for us shoppers, unlucky for the game companies trying to do the right thing and frustrating because Steam wont allow play until the 19th Feb.
And I wouldn’t say no.
The rumour has it, that Eliza Dushku is keen to fill the role of the Black Widow in the Iron Man 2 and probably the Avengers movies.
I for one am in favour of this. Eliza Dushku is fine…very fine and I would much prefer staring at her than Emily Blunt or even Scarlett Johansson (yes, I am one of the few that just doesn’t get the drool factor of Scarlett).
Thought she was great as Faith in Buffy and who could forget the 2 great scenes of the car wash in Bring It On and jumping out of the van in Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back.
And with her learning Russian for Joss Whedon’s Dollhouse, it works perfectly.
Half Life 2 is easily the most recognised First Person Shooter on the PC so this was only a matter of time.
The Purchase Brothers have come along and directed Half Life 2: Escape from City 17.
A short film based on Half Life 2 that follows a group of people trying to get out of, you guessed it, City 17.
Looks low budget but it has blood shed. Will definitely be keeping an eye on this one.

On the back of my droolage over X-Men Origins: Wolverine, I found this little gem.
X-Men: First Class is actually being penciled for a movie of its own. It appears it will be based on the very beginning of the X-men so young Cyclops and crew.
All very exciting….except the writer……
Josh Schwartz looks like he has the job on the screenplay. Now I had no idea who this guy was and when I found out, I cringed.
This guy is the one responsible for Gossip Girl, The OC and Chuck. This frightens me very very much. Yes I have always said to my wife, “The X-men are my soapies” but if he turns this into a bloody Melrose Place with powers…I may have to hunt him down and hurt him…a lot.
