Tested your breaks lately?

So I walk past A.C.T. Brakes pretty much every day when I get some lunch.
This is a place where you get your brakes tested, serviced or replace. Sounds normal so far.
I have only just clued on that their STOP HERE sign before going into the garage itself is on their driveway……which is a hill.
Ok so here is the scenario:
== My brakes don’t work and need replaceing

== I go to brake specialist to have them replaced.

== They have me wait outside their garage, on their driveway which has a lovely slope.
== Hmmm what could ever happen?

That actually is my car. There was a handbrake issue. No this was not at ACT Brakes…..but you get the idea.

Top Gear, Down Under

Well its been on the books for a while now and SBS have finally made a decision.
The best car show ever, Top Gear is making an Australian version. I think it was late last year or early this year, they started looking for hosts for the Down Under version….and they have made a decision.

After an nation-wide call out, 4,000 DVD applications and months of interviews and screen tests, the hosts of Top Gear Australia have been finally announced.

Charlie Cox, Warren Brown, Steve Pizzati and Australia’s own “The Stig” were unveiled at a special invite-only event in Sydney overnight.

So we have our own team…..hmmm but will it be as good as the original UK show?
For the people who live under rocks and do not know what Top Gear is……I feel sad for you. Yes it is a show about cars but the difference is, you do not need to be a rev head, grease monkey or car enthusiast to watch it. The 3 host make the show, the stupid stunts they do make the show and sometimes there is even a car review.
For example, one week they decided to make a space shuttle from a Robin, and it flew….and exploded. Or the caravan episode….hilarious, fires, crashes, burning down the neighbors tents.
And now we will have an aussie version. Please don’t let it be about the Holden v Ford debacle.

It is not a 5 door hatch!

FFS it is not a five door hatch!

Ok this may seem small to most but come on…

I drive a pug 206, it has 4 doors where people can get into the car and the boot has a hatchdoor.
So that would make it a 4 door and hatch not a friggin 5 door hatch!
My wife drives a 2 door car and its boot has a hatch…
so what does that make it?

If you say its a 3 door hatch, I will hunt you down and slap you silly. By that I mean with a dead fish.

One of my mates has a 4 door, you know, to the front and back seats, and his boot is a standard sort of boot.
Does that mean he has a 5 door boot!

I hate stupid things and I hate stupid people trying to sound smart like saying, oh yes I drive a 5 door hatchback….you know what, you don’t. You drive a 4 door hatch back.
