It has come to this. Golf has taken us all and we must feed the desire to curse and swear while walking amongst the trees.

So here is the deal….

The 1st Sunday of each Once a month is Golf Day. We will circulate the golf courses of Canberra and surrounding regions to make sure there is no home advantage (cause that will help).

Rules:

• Play 9 holes
• Skins format used
• Each player brings an extra $9 (preferably in gold coins) for pot
• Each hole is worth $1 per player ( 4 players = $4)
• In case of a tie, the pot goes to a JACKPOT hole.
• JACKPOT explained: If the winner of the jackpot hole is one of the tied winners from the previous hole, they collect the pot from both holes
• JACKPOT explained: If the winner of the jackpot hole is NOT one of the tied winners from the previous hole, they collect just that hole’s pot and the previous hole’s pot is divided between the tied winners.

What happens if we have more than 4 players?

• if there are 6+ players, the pot and group is split into 2 even groups but the pot winner is the best of all scores.
• if there are 5 players, the players are split into 2 groups (if outta sight back into 1 group) but the pot does not get split.
• There are no JACKPOT holes. The pot gets distributed evenly between each hole winner, rounded down, after the round is complete (in the pub).
• Any money left over goes towards the end of year trophy and golf trip. If you trust me, I will hold the cash

What else could we do?

• Each player could bring $10 each and the extra $1 each goes toward a end of year event such as pub, trip, coach hire. Still waiting on feedback.
• Apply Handicaps will be issued to the not so regular (nice way of saying un-co) player to give them a chance. Updates after 3 rounds.

What courses will we play and how will we know?

• Rotate each month on which course we will play on
• Fishmalt will have the information on where and if there are any dress rules.
• Belconnen Magpies, Murrumbidgee Country Club, Gungahlin Lakes, Capital Golf Club, Queanbeyan just to start us off.
• Interstate course will also be included
