What’s that Skip? Hawk is good eating meat?

What is more frustrating?
Losing by 10 goals to the worst team in the league?
or
Following it up with beating the best team in the league by 4 goals?

And what a game!.

From the start North Melbourne came out hard, going in for the ball hard, tackling hard and shutting down Hawthorn’s forward line.
Don’t get me wrong, it was by no means a walk over and much verbal abuse was thrown at the TV, the grandmother ringing during the last quarter with suspected heart attacks and the wife trying to shut me up with beer. Oh but what a game?
After last week, my faith for the Kanagaroos was shaken, I have never been so angry with them after a match. But to follow it up with such excellence!
Finally Shannon Grant had a good game. With Lindsay Thomas and Matt Campbell playing like the reincarnations of the Krakouer brothers, Nathan Thompson coming back from minor surgery and providing a strong target every where forward and of course the ever reliability of Drew Petrie and Brent Boomer Harvey…oh it was so good to watch. And how good has Leigh Harding become in his new defensive role…oh there were so many great contributions this week.

It almost wipes my memory of last week’s result and the fact that North Melbourne can be the most frustrating team in the league.
Almost.

Hawthorn 10.16 76
Nth Melbourne 15.13 103
